Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments . Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition. Address and document symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions. Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families. Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician. Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment. Provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice. Provide nursing care. Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Mental health first aid Certificate. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. CPR Certificate. Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work. Type of treatment experience: Pain management. Area of specialization: Geriatrics. Mental health.
