Your ContributionAs an Environmental Scientist, you will work in collaboration with the Environment team. Your main responsibilities will be: Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules Assisting Project Managers, Engineers and Geoscientists in fulfilling multi-disciplinary environmental and hydrogeological related projects, including but not limited to Phase I/One and II/Two Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Excess Soil Management, Site Remediation and Hydrogeological Study. Collecting field samples and/or preparing laboratory samples as directed. Prepare detailed field notes and provide to supervisor. Recording test data and preparing factual reports, summaries, data sheets or graphs for interpretation of test results by the supervisor. Maintaining records of data base, calibration certificates, equipment manuals and applicable standards. Consistently executing prescribed technical procedures, safe work practices and work plans while completing field, laboratory, and office work. Ensuring environmental management, planning and regulatory compliance. Participating in project management, site and staff planning meetings. Maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts. Performing other related duties as assigned. Your Profile University or College Degree in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or an environmental related field; 2 to 3 year experience as an environmental consultant in environmental drilling and test pitting, collection of soil and groundwater samples required; Reporting experience in Phase I/One and II/Two ESAs, Excess Soil Management would be an asset; Valid Province of Ontario class "G" driver's licence; Access to a reliable is vehicle; Travelling between worksites locally and within the region for extended periods of time and occasionally across Canada; Understanding of and/or ability to learn technical laboratory and field-testing
