*Duties & Responsibilities:* * Instruct apprentices * Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems * Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required * Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices * Estimate costs and materials * Operate CADD and other computer software systems * Test and replace defective equipment or components * Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment *Licensing and Certification:* * Gas Fitter Trade Certification * Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate * Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 1 or A * Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B *Qualifications:* * Proven experience as a Gas Fitter * Strong understanding of gas appliances, piping, and systems. * Knowledge of safety protocols and relevant codes (e.g., CSA B149.1 Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code in Canada). * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics. * Hands-on mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights. * Good physical condition to handle heavy tools and equipment. * Valid driver?s license with a clean driving record *Job Type:* Full-time *Pay: *We offer competitive pay based on experience. *Expected hours:* No less than 40 per week *Benefits:* · Company car and Gas card · Company uniforms · Extended health care · Life insurance · Dental Care · Vision Care · RRSP match · Paid statutory holidays · Wellness program *Schedule:* · Monday to Friday · Morning shift · Weekends as needed If you're ready to join a dynamic team and take your career to the next level, we can't wait to hear from you.
