Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders). Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Work setting: Work in employer's/client's home. Various locations. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety. Implement behaviour management programs. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Behaviour management Certification. Community disability studies Certificate. Emergency child care first aid and CPR. Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate. Target audience: Families. Persons with an intellectual disability. Persons with learning disabilities. Persons with mental health disabilities. Persons with physical disabilities. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. MS Office.
