As part of our ever-expanding work force, we are looking for *Security Guards - Relief * *Benefits:* * High Wages in the Industry * Health and Dental benefits * Vision Care * Disability Benefits * Employee Assistance Program * Continuous Learning Environment *Position Summary* A Relief/Casual Security Guard may be called in to provide security coverage during peak times, special events, or when permanent security staff are unavailable. The candidate will patrol designated areas, monitor security cameras, and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. *Duties and Responsibilities:* * Patrol assigned areas to detect and deter suspicious activities. * Monitor security cameras and alarms to identify potential security threats. * Respond to emergency situations and alarms promptly and appropriately. * Secure premises by locking doors, windows and gates as needed. * Report any security incidents, accidents or disturbances to the appropriate authorities. * Enforce security protocols and procedure to ensure the safety of people and property. * Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as required. * Maintain accurate logs and reports of security activities and incidents during shift. *Skills, Abilities & Educational Requirements:* * Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. * Must possess a valid AB Security License * Must be fluent in the English language ? written, verbal and reading skills. * Must possess valid first aid or be willing to obtain it. * Enthusiastic and self-motivated with strong organizational, time management and priority setting skills. * Strong computer skills ability to learn technology devices (phones, equipment) * Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills. * Have excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner. * Physically fit with ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. * Have exceptional attention to detail to fulfill duties and responsibilities and incident report writing. * Former RCMP/Military experience and Military family member (Strong Asset) * Education and/or background in Law Enforcement (Strong Asset) *Working Conditions:* * Work 8/10/12-hour shifts. * May be exposed to prolonged periods of walking, sitting, or standing. * May be employed indoors or outdoors in periods of inclement weather. * Climbing or descending stairs This list is not all-inclusive and other business requirements may be included to which the incumbent will be obliged to perform. _The Division respects your human rights and will accommodate protected grounds in accordance with its lawful obligations._ _Applicants must submit a resume indicating how their experiences meet these requirements._ _We thank you for your interest but only individuals selected for interviews will be contacted._ Job Type: Casual Benefits: * Dental care * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Vision care Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift * Night shift Application question(s): * For some sites/roles require an Enhanced Security Check as part of the screening
