_*What is The Venu Bar & Lounge?*_ _The Venu Bar & Lounge is a bar located in Downtown Hamilton (King Street). We offer drinks at a great price and create a fun and friendly atmosphere for customers to grab a drink and have a great time while enjoying popular music and DJ mixes on weekends! _ _*JOB POSTING*_ _*Bartenders and Servers:*_ _*RESPONSIBILITIES:*_ * Greet and serve all customers and provide them with exceptional customer service * _Taking customer orders and p_reparing cocktails, mixed drinks, shooters, beer and non-alcoholic beverages * Always have knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods * Organize and set up bar, ensure cleanliness is maintained throughout shift after before closing * Ensuring customers are not served beyond their limit and behaviour is monitored * Collect cash, credit, debit, and master card payments for food and beverages * inventory control and closing/balancing the register as directed * Communicating with other team members to ensure proper flow during scheduled shifts and all mandatory tasks are completed *REQUIREMENTS:* * High school diploma or equivalent * Previous experience as a bartender in a comparable environment * Smart Serve Certification is a *MUST* * Available to work all restaurant operating hours * Proficient in English verbal and written communication * Knowledge of personal computers or ability to acquire appropriate-level skill using computers and restaurant software * Reliable transportation to and from work * Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations \* _*Staff must be available to work days, nights, weekends as well as holidays.*_ _*Please attach your resume to your application.
