Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Building service worker course. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment: Carpet cleaning machine. Waxing machine. Power tools. Power lawn mowers. Security system. Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments). Snowblower. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Basic security clearance. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
