DISTRICT OF SAANICHPARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICESRECREATION DIVISIONSAANICH COMMONWEALTH PLACE INSTRUCTOR III - TAKE HEART PROGRAMThe District of Saanich is seeking an individual for Instructor III position to provide support to the primary clinical staff to monitor the exercise environment for clinical safety and tailor exercise to the needs and levels of the clients. A successful person would also evaluate, update, and document each client?s exercise program on an ongoing basis, maintains clear and concise client documentation, records and statistics, function as an educational resource for clients, families and other members of the client care team, coach client and/or family to identify, develop and maintain promoting behaviors withing the context of their illness or disease, provide motivational support to client and family regarding long-term behavioral modifications and exercise and monitors compliance with exercise prescription. Requirements for the Instructor III include completion of Grade 10; three months experience in area instruction; certification and training in area of instruction, in accordance with Industry Standards; Emergency First-Aid and CPR ?C? as required; and a Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change). These are C.U.P.E. Local 2011 positions with a wage of $29.51 per hour, plus 15% in lieu of benefits. Job descriptions and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca.
