We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of *Journeyperson Powerline Technician*. This position reports to the Operations Supervisor. The successful candidate will be required to perform weekly standby duty, emergency and planned overtime on a regular basis and, therefore, must reside within a 35 km radius of the Acton Office.
*DUTIES:*
The duties for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:
· Construction, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the electrical distribution system, including overhead and underground of various voltages (up to and including 44kV);
· Perform live line work on overhead and underground electrical distribution lines of up to 44kV;
· Weekly standby duty; emergency and planned overtime;
· Manage ESA permits and necessary locate requirements;
* Service and trouble-shoot electrical related issues;
* Ensure all work meets ESA and internal requirements;
* Responsible for completing work / service orders within the allotted time frames;
* Ensure all installation/service work is done according to quality standards;
* Report and communicate according to company procedures;
* Assist with work overflow as needed;
* Follow all company policies and procedures;
* Adhere to all company safety policies; report all near-miss and incidents immediately;
* Complete paperwork as required ? job Planning, tailboards, timesheets, traffic planning
* Performance of all work within health and safety regulations, company standards, industry standards and applicable regulatory codes;
* Other duties as assigned.
