The Machinist?s primary focus is to set up and operate manual lathes and machine work pieces by performing the necessary steps according to engineered drawings. The ideal candidate would also have experience with vertical lathes and horizontal boring mills. Machinists are required to have sufficient experience with the equipment used and measuring equipment to ensure work pieces adhere to tight tolerances. *Education, Skills and Experience* * High School Diploma or equivalent GED * Must have Machinist Trade Certification * Requires past experience with lathes * Vertical lathe and horizontal boring mill experience an asset * Must be familiar and able to work with very tight tolerances * Must be able to read and understand written planning and follow verbal instructions * Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines * Reading and interpreting of blue prints * Ability to assemble and disassemble pumps when required an asset * Past experience with Pumps and Pump systems an asset Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Paid time off * RRSP match * Vision care Schedule: * Monday to Friday Experience: * Vertical Turret Lathe: 1 year (preferred) * Horizontal Boring Mill: 1 year (preferred) * Manual Lathes: 5 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationCalgary, AB
