*Job description* Position : Sr. Graphic Designer Expectations : *The Senior Graphic Designer will play an active and leading role designing Seasonal gifting products, such as Greeting Cards, Gift Bags, Gift Boxes, Gift Tags, Decorative Tissue, Gift Wrapping Paper, Decorative Stickers, Packaging and components, Displays, Ceramics, Kitchen Textiles, Decor, as well as some traditional graphic design work.* We are looking for a candidate who is creative with an eye for shape, materials, and colors. The candidate must be able to draw characters and design patterns. Experience with designing for the North American market is a strong asset and consideration for this role. They must be willing to explore new ideas with the design team, communicative effectively, and be self-motivated. *We are looking for a candidate with the following skills, experience, and mindset:* * Identify and develop commercial design concepts, range and product templates from creative briefs. * Assist in identifying and coordinating seasonal trends and color palettes. * A multi-disciplinary outlook * strong visualization skills * can speak to the commercial viability of the projects * An interest in design futures, trends and forecasting *Key components of this role are the ability to:* * Understand/communicate unique design language of customer brands, displaying a strong awareness of commercial viability. * Evaluate and understand the way people choose retail products. * Understand/explore different materials especially paper and the products feasibility of production. * Ability to produce design propositions based on factors such as appearance, design function, materials, and market characteristics, methods engineering and buyer specifications. *We also expect the ideal candidate to:* * Have excellent communication and organizational skills. * Ensure all work is created in accordance to the company?s visual quality and technical standards. * Have the ability to plan and lead categories for various Seasons. *Technical Requirements:?*Proficient in Creative Cloud with expert skills in Adobe creative suite Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. *Degree or Diploma in Visual Communication.* *10+ years? commercial experience in a design related role.* *Possess strong attention to detail and consistently produce high quality standards. Be mindful of timelines and deliver as per plan.* Proven organizational, prioritization and time management skills. Ability to work independently and lead a team of designers. Capable of effectively handling multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines. Capable of working with Marketing and Sales to plan the product lines and imagery.
