Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Dirty. Tasks: Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment. Weigh resins, colorants and other chemicals according to formulae. Operate mixing machine to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity. Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die. Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products. Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line change. Follow formulation card to mix resin batches for injection moulding process. Organize and maintain inventory. Trimming and sanding plastic or fiberglass parts. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Manual dexterity. Handling heavy loads. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Accurate.
