We currently have a Human Resources Coordinator position available at Coast Capri Hotel. The HR Coordinator will focus on business and people processes that are tied to results. This detail-oriented person will use skills in multi-tasking and collaboration to support ongoing HR projects and initiatives. Someone with compassion, advanced organisational skills and keen critical thinking will be successful in this role. Culture building, social initiatives, policy improvement, and employee relations are vital aspects of the HR Coordinator's responsibilities.
This exciting role allows an opportunity for the right person to _expand their title and responsibilities and elevate their hospitality or HR career _while working with a positive and fast-paced team.
*Duties and Responsibilities: *
* Assist with the recruitment process: preparing job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
* Chair the Social Committee, ensuring fiscal responsibility and inclusive celebration
* Own the staff reader boards and digital ESS platform to guarantee smooth communication
* Guide the interpretation of corporate policies, collective agreements, best practices and employment-related legislation
* Provide support for management in the areas of performance management, organizational change, conflict resolution, training, documentation and development
* Lead recognition initiatives, such as the Kudos program, tenure and service awards
* Ensure that all Health & Safety standards are met, incident investigation procedures are followed, and that colleagues have the correct knowledge and tools to work safely.
* Administer the non-unionised benefits program through our insurance provider
* Update, organise and keep secure all employee documents and personnel files
* Assist in creating annual plans, budgets, and tracking for relevant departmental needs
* Other duties and projects as assigned
*Qualifications & Skill Requirements:*
* Experience in a Human Resources or Hospitality Management role is required
* Completion of a University degree in the field of Human Resources/Business or a related area is an asset
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy laws
* An energetic, positive and resilient attitude
* Able to be flexible with tasks, prioritize effectively and communicate with the utmost professionalism
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail and time management skills
