Job details
The positions incumbent will contribute to the delivery of the National Hydrological Services by providing civil and water resources engineering expertise in support of the collection, interpretation and dissemination of standardized water resource data and information across Canada. From a solid understanding of hydraulic principles, fluid mechanics related to open channels and hydrometric monitoring techniques the incumbent will provide expert support to our national operational program to address challenging hydrometric conditions. The incumbent must show initiative and work effectively both independently and in team environments, organize and participate in field data collection and engineering projects. More specific duties of a potential position may include some or all the following:• Apply hydraulic principles to the collection and interpretation of water resource data and information.• Based on a thorough understanding of open channel hydraulics and hydrometric monitor
