*Overview* We are a competitive Hunter/Jumper training farm that competes on the Gold circuit in Canada and the U.S. s Seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stable Hand to join our team for weekends. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of horses and their environment. This role is essential in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals while maintaining a clean and organized stable. The candidate will work closely with other staff members to provide high-quality care and support for our equine residents. *Responsibilities* * Feed, water, turn out and muck daily. * Monitor the health of horses, reporting any signs of illness or distress to management. * Operate farm machinery safely for tasks such as moving hay or bedding. * Assist with general maintenance tasks around the property as required. * Opportunity for riding to qualified candidate. *Skills* * Must have experience caring for high end sport horses including young stock and stallions. * Ability to perform heavy lifting, including lifting hay bales and feed bags. * Experience or familiarity with farm machinery is preferred for efficient operation during daily tasks. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to animal welfare are essential for success in this role. * Good communication skills and teamwork abilities are necessary for collaborating effectively with other staff members. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 8 per week Additional pay: * Bonus pay * Overtime pay Benefits: * On-site parking Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Every Weekend * Weekends only Experience: * Horse: 5 years (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-12-21- LocationCampbellville, ON
