If you are looking for a great opportunity to work with a fun, collaborative team, keep reading the job description below. *Job Statement:* * Promote the profitable sale of retail products through courteous and efficient service to customers. * Responsible for contributing to the overall success of Fierling Limited by fostering a spirit consistent with a successful and well-knit team. *Essential Functions:* * Ensure that every customer is greeted in a friendly, respectful, and genuine way. * Energetically craft solutions to customer problems using open-ended questions that lead to solving the problem, thereby promoting the maximum value of sales and add on sales for Fierling Limited. * Assist the customer in locating and comparing product choices ? demonstrate a thorough knowledge of product options and features and wherever possible. * Assist with weekly price changes, putting away stock and maintaining a clean and organized store (mopping, collecting garbage, cleaning etc.) * Process complete and accurate paperwork for every sale, special orders and out of stock items. * Accurately receive and verify incoming stock. * Promptly advise the Store Supervisor of stock outs, invalid pricing, shortages, damaged inventory, perceived theft in their department, inefficient or inappropriate activities. * Answer the phone on the first ring. * Perform other job-related duties as required. *Job Specifications:* * Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and paint products would be an asset * Ability to work independently and with a team. * A willingness and desire to develop skills and knowledge. * Cash handling and POS knowledge would be an asset. * Valid forklift license or a willingness to obtain. * The ability to work in compliance with the Provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Safety Regulations and Policies of Fierling Limited. _Fierling Limited provides equal employment opportunities for everyone regardless of age, sex, colour, race, creed, national origin, religious persuasion, marital status, political belief, or disability that does not prohibit performance of essential job functions.
