Monday ? Friday, 8:00AM ? 4:30PM, overtime as necessary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, prospect focused *Account Manager* to join our Business Development team to identify and secure new business.
*What You?ll Do:*
* Identifies and contacts potential clients to develop opportunities from leads.
* Creates and closes new sales opportunities; maintains an active lead list that is consistently growing.
* Monitors market trends, pricing and competitor information
* Audits all accounts regularly
* Collaborates with other teams and departments to meet client needs and create new opportunities; updates Sales Force with annual pricing review data.
* Develops beneficial working relationships with stakeholders.
* Utilizes TMS data together with Operations and/or Accounting feedback to monitor shipper behaviour, identifying successes or concerns.
* Ensures Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) data integrity; keeps account management data updated within 24 hours.
* Aligns activities to drive KPIs; coordinates efforts through a combination of in-office and road-time to produce measurable results: increased freight volumes and revenues.
* Participates in other duties and projects as assigned.
*Who You Are:*
* A professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration, with three (3) years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Ability to travel; must own reliable transportation and possess a valid BC Driver?s License.
* Strong knowledge of all organizational LTL freight-handling requirements.
* Advanced computer skills; proficiency in MS Office.
* Strong prospecting skills and excellent closing skills; delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
* Customer-focused and responds to inquiries in a timely manner; takes responsibility for solving problems for internal and external customers.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to be effective in requesting and delivering information; listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
* Team player who collaborates with others to achieve goals, objectives, and deliverables.
* Ability to analyze and interpret information and data to resolve problems related to area of expertise.
* Contributes to learning and development of self; expands own knowledge and skill set.
* Be willing to travel and work flexible hours
