Deputy Commissioner, Police Accountability Assistant Deputy Minister 1Salary range: $172,400.00-220,100.00Salary will be commensurate with the experience of the successful candidate, balanced with salary administration principles of internal equity, accountability, and transparency. Regular Full-Time Greater Vancouver or Victoria, BC The Deputy Commissioner supports the Commissioner in discharging their statutory responsibilities and acts pursuant to the authority delegated by the Commissioner under the Police Act. The Deputy is accountable for carrying out the vision and goals of the Office within budget and on time, and for providing executive oversight of the senior leaders and professionals that carry out the mandate and core functions of the Office. The deputies work collaboratively between the various lines of business to translate operations into organizational excellence.This posting is for one (1) permanent full-time position. An eligibility list for similar temporary or permanent future opportunities may be established. This position is excluded from union membership. The OPCC headquarters is located in Victoria, and a Lower Mainland office will be opened in the coming months. The Deputy may be in either location and will be expected to travel regularly between the offices as part of the required job duties. Financial assistance may be offered as part of the total compensation package for successful candidate(s) required to relocate.
