*Job Title*: Software Engineer ? BGP Routing Team *Location*: Ottwa, Canada *Role & Responsibilities* As a Software Engineer in the BGP Routing Team, you will: * Contribute to the development of software features, including implementation, testing, and automating Unit and Integration Tests. * Troubleshoot and resolve software defects effectively. * Develop and enhance test automation scripts for feature validation. * Investigate test execution failures, identify root causes, log defects, and collaborate with defect owners for resolution and verification. *Qualifications* *Must-Have Skills*: * Strong programming experience in *C/C++* and scripting languages like *Python* or *UNIX Shell/Bash*. * Familiarity with *Unix/Linux* operating systems. * Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols, including *TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and **MPLS*. * Creative problem-solving and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills. * Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent teamwork abilities. * Ability to multitask and work towards long-term project goals. * Flexibility and openness to adapt to changes. *Desired Attributes*: * Exercise good judgment in achieving technical objectives. * Demonstrated ability to handle complex tasks independently or collaboratively. *Educational Background* * Bachelor?s degree in *Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science*, or a related field. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.55-$60.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: * C/C++: 4 years (required) * Python or UNIX Shell/Bash.: 3 years (required) * Networking / Embedded software development: 3 years (required) Language: * English (preferred)- LocationOttawa, ON
