Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Urban area. Community agency. Women's drop-in centre. Tasks: Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
