Position #: 9001048 Expected Start Date: December 18, 2024 Union: HSAS Facility: St Josephs Hospital - SHA City/Town: Estevan Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.67 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 8 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, or their designate, the EMT/PCP, responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service; and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Saskatchewan College of Paramedics Clinical Practice Protocols and established policies and procedures. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)- Valid Class 4 driver's license- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)Competencies- Basic - Conflict resolution skills- Basic - Communication skills- Intermediate - Writing skills- Advanced - Interpersonal skills- Advanced - Problem solving skills- Advanced - Critical thinking skills- Intermediate - Verbal communication skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team- Positive approach to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity- Ability to adapt to changing conditions- Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situationsOther Information- Standard Hours- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level- For more information on the city of Estevan ...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationEstevan, SK
