Position #: 097339 Expected Start Date: December 23, 2024 Union: HSAS Facility: Lampman Health Centre City/Town: Lampman Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Casual FTE: 0 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service, providing Advanced Life Support, initial assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons in accordance with Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Emergency Health Services Basic and Advance Life Support Protocols, and organization policies and procedures. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)- Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)- Valid Class 4 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)Competencies- Basic - Interpersonal skills- Basic - Writing skills- Basic - Verbal communication skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to work independently- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary teamOther Information- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement- Lampman is located approximately 30 km northeast of Estevan- Standard Hours- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level- For more information on the town of Lampman please visit https://townoflampman.ca/ About US The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
