Worley is seeking a *Project Manager *to join the *Project Management* team at our *Blackfalds Modular Yard.* *Work Conditions*: * Located i*n Blackfalds* * 5 days on 2 days off rotation * 10 hour days Project Manager provides project management consulting services on projects, including safety, quality, procurement, planning and ensuring that project objectives including schedule and budget are met. *Responsibilities:* * Team member for negotiation and selection of successful bidders * Review contract tender documents prior to packages being sent out to contractors * Attend all bid review and evaluation meetings. Provide recommendations to award upon evaluation. * Ensure the proper authorizations are in place (Contract Release or Notice to Proceed). * Review and understand contract documents. Provide key project team members with a summary of key contract elements. * Lead the project kick-off process (internal and with sub-contractors). * Lead development and maintenance of relationships with local and indigenous communities for the project * Ensure Lessons Learned from similar projects are reviewed with the project team as part of the project kick-off process. * Provide support and leadership with regard to safety, quality, schedule, cost, overall project, and corporate expectations. * Lead/participate in planned safety inspections. * Organize and facilitate stewardship (MPRD) meetings with the management team. * Ensure sub-contractors have an approved safe work plan and have properly completed pre-mobilization activities prior to the commencement of any work. * Ensure implementation of the Customer Feedback process as per the management guideline. * Develop and manage all phases of a projects lifecycle * Understand pricing models, billing procedures, and accurately forecast project costs. * Maintain project quality and cost control, track and forecast the actual performance against project plan. * Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. * Ensure all cost collection requirements are met for all work such as time sheets, purchase orders, service agreements, etc. * Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. * Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or sub-contractors and make the appropriate manpower request to Human Resources if necessary during project cycle. * Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. * Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team * Develop and deliver progress reports, required documentation, and presentations * Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. * Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. * Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned duties. * Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of projects. * Conduct Lessons Learned sessions and create a Lessons Learned report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. * Participate in the development of the Risk Register and organize risk management meetings throughout the project to review the Risk Register and identify any new risks. * Advise project team of key risks based on experience with specific type of projects * Be an advocat- LocationBlackfalds, AB
