Job Description:JOB TITLE: Parks Arborist I DEPARTMENT: Community Services NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 6 JOB STATUS & DURATION: Seasonal, Temporary 6-months HOURS OF WORK: 40 hour workweek / shift work / variable hours LOCATION: Hybrid Model - when working onsite, you will report to the location of Norton Place Park Community HOURLY RATE: $33.28 per hour JOB TYPE: Union POSTING DATE: December 09, 2024 CLOSING DATE: July 1, 2025 AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Reporting to the Foreperson, Urban Forestry, provide care and maintenance to the City's urban forest. Inspects, trims and prunes trees; identifies and diagnoses treatment for diseased/damaged trees. Operates equipment/tools; ensures safety in operations.
