Here, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients during their most challenging moments. *Responsibilities:* As a Registered Nurse, you will: * Patient assessment, nursing care planning and interventions including initiation of discharge planning on admission. * Patient and family support. * Nursing ongoing assessment procedures, treatments and patient interventions. * Patient education and instruction on discharge; coordinating community support and collaboration with physician and allied health professionals. * Documentation as part of her/his role including patient assessments, treatments, medications, education and transfer. * Participation in committees and in quality improvement projects/assignments specific to the needs of the department. *Qualifications:* We are looking for candidates who possess: * Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of Prince Edward Island * Possess BCLS certification * Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with patients, family and staff. * Have good previous work and attendance record. * Preference will be given to candidates with 2 years? previous Acute Care experience. *Why Join Us?* At our facility, we believe in the power of compassionate care. We offer competitive compensation and benefits to support your well-being, including: * *Salary Range:* $38.90 - $47.47 per hour * *Hours:* 37.5/75 hours bi-weekly, with rotating shift , evenings & weekends. * *PEINU Bargaining Unit of Health PEI* *Province of Employment: Prince Edward Island* *Nursing Recruitment Incentive* * *$8,000* for eligible positions Island-wide *Rural Incentive* * *$5,000* for eligible positions outside of Charlottetown *Student Loan Incentive* * *Up to $8,000* for positions within Charlottetown * RN must have federal student loans and does not qualify for the *Canada Loan Forgiveness Program* due to their work location *Canada Student Loan Forgiveness* * *Up to $30,000* (over a maximum of 5 years) could be available for RNs working in a rural area. This is a federal program. *Notice to all External Applicants* Health Care Workers are required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination as per Health PEI?s Covid-19 Immunization and Management Policy. In the event that a new hire is unable to be vaccinated as a result of a medical exemption they will be required to submit supporting documentation to Employee Health/Wellness and Safety.
