*Position Summary:* The Manager Position will report to the Corporate Executive Officer (CEO) of Kainaiwa Children?s Services Corporation. The Manager of the Blood Tribe Child Protection Services will provide leadership and direction for services to Blood Tribe Children and families as legislated by the Alberta Child Youth and Family Enhancement Act, in accordance with Delegated First Nation (Child Intervention) Agreement Protocol (DFNA). The Manager leads the service delivery of Intake Investigation, Family Enhancement, Case Management, Placement Resources (i.e. Kinship care, Foster Care, etc.), Post Majority Support Services, Youth Transition to Adulthood Program, and licensing. This position is responsible for managing the provincial legislation. The Manager will promote community based services, utilize early intervention strategies and collaborate with partners and stakeholders in service delivery. The Blood Tribe Child Protection Manager will also be responsible for Leading and managing a diverse team.
*Qualifications:* Bachelor of Social Work with a minimum of 5 years of direct child intervention services; experience in supervisory and management is preferred.
? Strong knowledge of The Alberta Child Youth and Family Enhancement Act; and all other applicable acts or regulations relevant to Child Intervention Services.
? Strong knowledge of budgeting and performance management.
? The ability to understand and speak the Blackfoot language is preferred.
? Experience working in or with a First Nations community is essential.
