This job is <span><span>full-time</span></span> <span><span>permanent</span></span>.</span></span></p> <p><span><span>Reports directly to the President, Pulp and Tissue Business Unit, and functionally to the President, Wood Products Business Unit.</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><span><b>Responsibilities</b></span></span></p> <p><span><span>The incumbent serves as an expert advisor and leader to operational sites regarding policies and compliance to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture among employees. The operational sites include pulp, paper, and tissue mills, wood product facilities, and forestry divisions. Additionally, they contribute to maintaining corporate services leadership to ensure uniformity across the organization.</span></span></p> <p><br> <span><span>Their responsibilities primarily encompass planning, implementing, supervising, and reviewing proactive and preventive measures to minimize workplace accidents, health issues, and related incidents. Key tasks include:</span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Collaborating with all levels of the organization to implement cultural changes supporting health and safety</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Recommending changes in work practices or methods that are safe and compliant with legislation</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Assessing risks and developing strategies to reduce the number of accidents and occupational injuries</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Regularly conducting site inspections/audits to ensure policies and procedures are adequately implemented</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Leading or participating in internal training workshops or activities</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Leading or participating in special internal projects</span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><span><b>Requirements</b></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Bachelor's degree in science with a major in human resources, health and safety, or a similar discipline</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is considered an asset</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Functional knowledge of behavioral safety aspects</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Excellent skills in group facilitation or presentation</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Excellent computer proficiency</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Excellent oral and written communication skills</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Strong initiative and organizational skills, combined with attention to detail</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Travel is expected for approximately 20% of the working time.</span></span></li> </ul> <p><span><span><b>What we are offering</b></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Competitive salary and annual bonus </span></span></li> <li><span><span>At least three weeks of vacation and three floating holidays a year from the fi
