IMPERIAL SEED is a growing Manitoba based Forage and Turf Seed company. We are currently inviting resumes for our Evening shift (3:30pm-12am) in our warehouse.
_\*Please note we are closed from Dec 20th at noon until Jan 2nd. Applications will not be reviewed during that period of time.\*_
The base wage is $17.50 with a *.50 evening shift premium* and there is a *.50 raise after our 3 month *probationary period. We offer *6% vacation pay (equaling 3 weeks* for a full time employee) as well as the accrual of up to *6 sick days per year*. *100% Employer paid benefits *after 6 months (excluding long term disability). We also have a *generous RRSP program* that employees are welcome to participate in after 1 year of employment.
*No bus access. Those without a license or own transportation will not be considered at this time.*

*Working Environment;*
* Warehouse setting, must be able to cope with dust arising through processing.
* Warehouse is not climate controlled. Temperature changes with the weather.
* Steel toe boots (employee provides) are required. Dust masks are provided and highly encouraged.
*Responsibilities *to include, but not limited to;
* Using machinery to package seed according to specifications set out by the Supervisor (average bag size 50-55lbs)
* Dumping seed, and replenishment of production line supplies
* Cleaning and conducting change-over of processing equipment
* Manually stacking product on pallets (lifting up to 55lbs repeatedly), and preparing for shipping or storage. Correctly labelling product and wrapping to ensure stability are also essential.
* Assist with yard and warehouse organization and housekeeping
* Tag Product: either with general tags or certified tags. This also involves the responsibility of keeping track of all certified tags in the back.
* Gather Orders: gather product and stack on a shipping pallet, record lot numbers, and wrap pallet for final shipping.
* Blend Product: to follow blend sheet instructions to create a cohesive final product as directed by Supervisor.
* Once certified, employee will be required to operate a forklift.
*Requirements*
* Motivated with a positive working attitude and able to work as a team.
* Takes direction well and clarifies when needed to ensure quality of final product.
* Able to work extended hours and weekends as seasonally required.
* Must be physically able to lift up to 55lbs repeatedly.
* Must be proficient in both spoken and written English.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
