*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training development, and payroll management. This position requires a proactive approach to human resources management and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
In-Person, 35 hours a week (M-F), and work hours: 8:30-4:30pm
*Responsibilities*
* Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities.
* Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data entry in HR systems (ADP)
* Assist with payroll processing using ADP and ensure compliance with company handbook.
* Assign training to employees as needed
* Support employee relations by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
* Administer benefits programs and assist employees with related questions or issues.
* Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs, and job descriptions.
* Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Chair and create agenda for JHSC Meetings as well as address employee H&S concerns.
* Ensure proper absence management and facilitate any return to work & accommodation processes as needed.
* Complete website updates as needed
* Any other tasks as assigned
*Qualifications*
* Maintain confidentiality of employee and firm information
* Experience with chairing JHSC & meetings (quarterly)
* Have a high standard of ethics as required by the HRPA
* 2-4 years of HR Generalist experience
* College or university degree relating to Human Resources, etc.
* CHRP or CHRL designation with the HRPA would be considered an asset
* Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work with deadlines
* Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
* Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel & MS Outlook
* Previous experience processing payroll
* A positive, collegial, and goal focused attitude
* Ability to refocus quickly and work through frequent interruptions of work
* Experience using HRIS systems such as ADP
