*Job Summary* We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of various accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and budgeting. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports. * Conduct account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. * Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. * Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for. * Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees. * Assist in budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and insights. * Utilize accounting software such as Xero and PeopleSoft for efficient record-keeping. * Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis efforts. * Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies. *Experience* * Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the finance department. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. * Assisted in processing GST, HST, payroll, PD7 A Report. * Maintain accurate financial records by recording transactions, managing ledgers, and reconciling accounts. * Manage payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits, while handling payroll taxes. * Experience of T1 & T2 returns. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00-$25.35 per hour Expected hours: 80 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: * Accounting: 1 year (preferred) Language: * English (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-01-01
