*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, financial forecasting and financial control, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and preparing financial reports. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and contributing to the overall success of the company?s financial operations.
*Key Responsibilities:*
Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reconcile accounts and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded.
Ensure compliance with provincial and federal tax laws and regulations.
Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
Monitor and manage cash flow and assist with accounts payable and receivable.
Preparing and filing tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and other statutory filings.
Conduct internal audits to ensure financial data integrity and to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Provide financial analysis and support to management as needed.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes.
*Qualifications:*
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Familiarity with QuickBooks
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
CPA or other professional accounting certification (preferred, but not required).
*Preferred Skills:*
Experience with tax preparation and filing.
Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices (if applicable).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
