*JOB OVERVIEW: *
A Studio Manager for a retail display company oversees the production process from concept to completion. They manage the design team, coordinate with clients to understand their needs, and ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines. The role involves budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, as well as maintaining an efficient workflow and fostering a creative, collaborative environment.
*Responsibilities: *
* Using PM software to manage work inflows into the studio.
* Assigning work to the design team.
* Understanding timing and resources required for specific jobs.
* Checking in with designers and if required, ensuring deliverables are being completed by them.
* Providing reports on studio capacity (monthly, bi-weekly?
* Organizing ancillary tasks for the studio (lunches, special requests).
* Managing vacation/absence schedule.
* Approving vacation/absences.
* Coordinating IT resources/concerns within the studio (passwords, software licenses, etc.).
* Coordinating design machinery maintenance (Esko, laser).
* Observing and escalating behavioral/disciplinary concerns to CD.
* Liaising with the business to negotiate timelines where needed.
* Oversee the daily operations of the studio, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Implement and maintain efficient workflows and processes to enhance productivity.
* Coordinate with the Creative Director, Operations Manager and Director Projects to align studio activities with company goals.
* Manage studio resources, including equipment, materials, and software, ensuring they are up-to-date and well-maintained.
* Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and negotiate contracts.

*Qualifications: *
* Bachelor?s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience in studio or project management, preferably within the retail display or design industry.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a studio environment.
