Job details
If you like staying busy and being part of something people are genuinely excited about, this could be a good fit. Events at the Bushplane aren?t quiet or predictable. One day it?s a wedding, the next it?s a fundraiser or a community event. There?s always something happening, and we need someone who can help keep it all moving without missing a beat. You?ll work alongside the Event & Promotions Manager and be someone the team can rely on when things are in motion. From setup to the final wrap-up, you?ll help keep things organized, step in when needed, and make sure the experience feels smooth for everyone involved. *About the Role* We?re looking for someone who likes to make things happen. As our Event Coordinator, you?ll be part planner, part problem-solver, and part ?make it work no matter what? person. You?ll help pull events together from start to finish, then be right there on the floor making sure everything runs the way it should. Some days you?ll be organizing details and talking with clients. Other days you?ll be setting up, managing the flow, and handling whatever comes your way in the moment. If you?re the kind of person who notices the little things, stays calm when things get busy, and actually enjoys the pace of events, you?ll do well here. *What you?ll be doing* * Leading event setups and tear downs so everything looks and runs the way it should * Being on-site during events to answer questions, solve problems, and keep things moving * Working with clients on tours, planning, and bookings * Helping with the behind-the-scenes pieces like contracts, invoicing, and scheduling * Supporting fundraising events and jumping in where needed * Making sure events are safe, organized, and enjoyable for everyone *What you bring to the role* * Can take the lead and keep a team on track, especially when things get busy * Good with people. Guests, clients, coworkers, you handle all of it well * Notice the small details and stay organized without overthinking it * Make solid decisions and don?t panic when something unexpected comes up * You?ve worked in events, hospitality, or a similar fast-paced environment * Comfortable handling payments and basic transactions * You?re available when events happen, including evenings and weekends * Outgoing, easy to talk to, and reliable when it counts * You know how to handle situations with staff in a professional and respectful way * Able to think on your feet and come up with solutions when needed * Communicate clearly, both in person and in writing *Requirements* * Smart Serve * Safe Food Handling *How to Apply* If this sounds like the kind of role you?d enjoy, we?d love to hear from you. Please send your resume and, instead of a cover letter, include a short note answering the following: * What part of an event do you naturally take charge of, and why? * In a busy event, how do you decide what needs your attention first? * What?s one thing you always check before an event starts? This helps us understand how you think and how you show up when things get busy, and your attention to detail. Apply today.
