Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Construction. Renovation. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Supervise apprentices and bench workers. Prepare cost estimates. Supervision: 3-4 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel.
