<p>Come Join Us! “We want to build an organization where everyone loves their job and their leaders care for them.” Over the last 30 years, TULLOCH has built a robust multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm recognized Canada-wide for its strengths in the diverse service offerings and commitment to excellence.</p><p>TULLOCH’s innovative use of emerging technologies to improve both the efficiency and quality of work is core to everything TULLOCH.</p><p>This approach, along with our extreme work ethic, makes us a service provider of choice for many clients.</p><p>Based in one of our Sault Ste.</p><p>Marie, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, or Timmins locations the  Mining Survey & Construction Technician (surface) will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on providing mining survey support and material testing services.</p><p>You will be part of a team that provides survey, inspection, and material testing support on mining and other infrastructure/development projects, working on client-driven rotations.</p><p>This is a new position.</p><p>The salary range for this role is $52,000 - $62,000 annually.</p><p>What You’ll Do: As part of the Mining and Construction Services team within TULLOCH Geomatics, you will:   Perform volumetric surveys for quantity validation using conventional survey equipment and drones Perform construction layout and as-built surveys in support of the construction of various types of infrastructure and structures Perform settlement monitoring surveys using total station equipment and digital levels Staking of alignments and grades Perform routine check surveys to maintain precision and accuracy in mine survey data and control points and to ensure survey stations are properly tied-in Perform materials testing, including on-site tests, soil sampling, and data collection Perform laboratory testing of soils and concrete in strict accordance with the applicable standards, including documentation and reporting of results Undertake civil construction inspections, including QC & QA monitoring to confirm compliance with approved drawings and contract specifications Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.</p><p>Who You Are:   You relish work in a remote setting on a 2-week-on, 2-week-off rotation You are excited to join a team that enjoys working together and camaraderie at camp after work You are physically fit and willing to work outside in all weather conditions You are willing to travel You can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results You are trusted with the freedom to work independently while also contributing to the overall team success What You Should Bring: The ideal candidate will have a college diploma from a Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Survey Technician program or have surveying/civil construction experience.</p><p>Additionally, you should have:   Proficiency with mine engineering programs such as Mine Cad, AutoCAD, MOSS Ability to operate a Total Station Experience using a nuclear densometer High motivation with results-oriented focus Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Valid, Class G driver’s licence What We Offer You: TULLOCH has built a passionate workforce with a strong and vibrant culture which has been the key to our success.</p><p>We offer programs and rewards that one would expect from a highly successful, established, and growing engineering company:   Competitive salary, benefits plan, and company pension plan A fantastic culture, team, and energetic work environment Social activities, company sponsored events, and opportunities to give back to our local commu- Location Thunder Bay, ON
