*CAMERON STEEL *is looking for a skilled *WELDER* to join our growing Team. Since 1975, we have been an employer of choice in the Kawartha?s. Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a minimum of two years experience. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand, and pay great attention to detail. *RESPONSIBILITIES* · Reading blueprints/drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures, with various types of steel, stainless steel and aluminum weldments · Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements · Set-up components for welding according to specifications · Operate grinder to prepare parts to be welded · Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces · Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) · Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws · Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety *REQUIREMENTS* · Proven experience as welder · Experience using a variety of weld equipment and procedures · Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.) · Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings · Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.) · Tig welding exposure would be an asset Alternating Shifts: Days ? Monday ?Friday 7:00 a.m. ? 3:30 p.m. Afternoons ? Monday ? Thursday 3:30 p.m. ? 2:00 a.m. Salary: $22.00 - $32.00/hr ?
