*MGL Protection Services* is seeking qualified security guards for a construction job site in the Ottawa. The company presents numerous opportunities for professional growth. *Job Description:* * Oversee and manage access control to the construction site to ensure that only authorized personnel are allowed entry. This includes checking identification and monitoring entry points. * Conduct regular patrols of the site, focusing on the interior areas to identify potential security risks or unauthorized individuals and ensure that safety protocols are being followed. * Ensure to have upgraded phone which will be used for recording your patrol via an app that MGL will let you know to use during hiring. * Perform fire watch duties as needed, which entails monitoring for potential fire hazards and ensuring that safety equipment is accessible and in good working condition, as per request. * Mostly you will be stationed on your personal vehicle to keep eye on the entrance. * Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective teamwork by collaborating with site managers and workers to promptly address security concerns and promote a safety and respect culture. * Always maintain a sharp and professional uniform appearance, reflecting the organization's standards and promoting a sense of order and discipline on the job site. *Position Requirements:* (_Please apply only if all requirements are satisfied_) * Possession of a valid security license. * WHMIS certification (certification can be provided). * 4-Step Safety Awareness certification is preferred. * Safety boots are required. * Hard hats and high-visibility vests (Reimbursed by MGL) * Previous experience in the security industry (a minimum of two years preferred). *Schedule:* * 1800 hours to 0600 hours (Fri - Sun) or 0600 hours to 1800 hours (Sat & Sun) * On-call fire watch responsibilities.
